Exhibition Title: "Life is Beautiful"
Artist Statement:
In the words of Li: “Life is beautiful. Whether you are rich or poor, busy or idle, happy or sad. The plants are glowing, the flowers are blooming, the birds are singing, the butterflies are dancing. After the rain, there will be sunshine. After a storm, there will be calm. After the barrenness of winter, comes the vibrancy of spring. Value your life, enjoy your life. The mountains, the water, the trees, the grass, the clouds, the wind, the sun, the moon…… everything is beautiful.”
Artist Biography:
Li was educated at the Canton Fine Arts Academy, China. He has won numerous awards, including: Top award at the FCA Open Water Media Show, Vancouver, 2002 and Bronze at the FCA Spilsbury Show, Vancouver, 2006. Li has held dozens of solo and group exhibitions in Canada, the US and China.
